Main caution

Points to YES

Haliburton scored 48 points with 15 assists over three preseason games and shot 52.8% from the field.
Milwaukee stripped its roster of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis, removing the core that had dominated this matchup and leaving a rebuilding team around new roles.
Milwaukee traded Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to Miami during the 2026 offseason.
Milwaukee's preseason performance was among the league's worst on both ends, suggesting the rebuilt rotation is not yet cohesive.
Milwaukee ranked 28th in offensive rating, 22nd in defensive rating and 30th in shooting accuracy in the 2026 preseason.

Points to NO

McConnell missed all four preseason games and Nesmith sat the final two with a hamstring injury.
Milwaukee won the final preseason meeting by owning the offensive glass, a repeatable path against Indiana's new frontcourt.
The Bucks beat Indiana 128-127 in overtime with an 18-8 offensive rebound edge and 23-6 second-chance points.
