Lynch’s entrenched incumbency and turnout coalition remain stronger, so he is likely to become the Democratic nominee for MA-08.

Roath’s fundraising, outside support, endorsements, and signs of demographic change make the upset credible. Lynch nevertheless leads the available late poll, has represented the district for decades, retains substantial campaign resources, and draws support from groups that reliably participate in low-turnout primaries. Lynch’s nomination is therefore likely, though Roath’s strong campaign leaves meaningful uncertainty.
